Ingredients
Rice - 1 cup
Ghee - 1/2 cup
Yogurt - 1/2 cup
Green chilli-ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
Salt - as per taste
Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon
Oil - 2 teaspoons
3 Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
For the filling
Rice - 72 teaspoons
Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
Green chillies (chopped) - 2-3
Curry leaves - 8-10 leaves
Method of preparation
1. Make the kheer
Wash the rice and urad dal separately and soak them for 5-6 hours. Then make a fine paste. Add the yoghurt, mix and leave the kheer to ferment in a warm place for 8-10 hours.
2. Preparation
Take sour kheer and add salt, turmeric, green chilli-ginger paste and baking soda to it and mix well.
3. Steaming
Apply oil on a plate for dhokla. Pour the kheer and add the prepared masala.
Steam the dhokla in a steamer for 15-20 minutes.
4. For the filling
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, green chillies and curry leaves and make filling.
Pour this filling on the prepared dhokla.
