Ingredients
1 liter milk (full cream)
6-10 chopped pistachios
8-10 chopped almonds
A pinch of saffron
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
Sugar (to taste)

Heat the milk in a pan or wok.
When the milk boils, reduce the heat to low.
Let the milk reduce to half on low heat, stirring occasionally.
Add sugar and cardamom powder to the milk, mix well.
Boil for another 5 minutes so that the sugar dissolves.
Add malai or cream (as desired).
Add almonds, pistachios and saffron and mix. Switch off the heat.
Serve Basundi hot or cold.
